FAQs

Is the mounting plate included?

No, the mounting plate is typically included with your Shad top case purchase, not with this rack kit.

Does this rack fit the standard Triumph Tiger 660 or just the Sport model?

This rack is specifically engineered for the Triumph Tiger 660 Sport (2022-2025) models.

Can I install this myself?

Yes, it is designed for straightforward, DIY installation, though having basic motorcycle maintenance knowledge is recommended.

Will this rack rust?

The rack features a durable, powder-coated steel finish designed to resist rust and corrosion under normal riding conditions.

Does the rack affect passenger comfort?

The rack is designed to integrate into the tail section of the motorcycle, generally leaving the passenger area clear, though it may be slightly noticeable depending on the size of the top case used.

Troubleshooting

Rack appears slightly misaligned during installation.

Loosen all mounting bolts to allow for adjustment before tightening them in a cross-pattern to ensure even tension.

Excessive vibration when riding with a case.

Double-check that all mounting bolts are secured firmly and that the top case is fully clicked into the mounting plate.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Perfect fitment for Triumph Tiger 660 Sport (2022-2025)
  • High-grade powder-coated steel construction
  • Straightforward installation due to pre-drilled holes
  • Maintains structural integrity of the motorcycle frame

Cons

  • Mounting plate not included in the kit
  • Requires specific Shad-compatible top case
  • Not compatible with other top-case brands

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation should be performed using standard motorcycle mechanic tools. Ensure all bolts are tightened to the torque settings recommended in your Triumph owner's manual to avoid damaging the frame.

Compatibility Note: This rack is strictly for the Triumph Tiger 660 Sport (2022-2025). The kit is compatible with most Shad mounting plates (sold with top cases); note that owners of Terra Aluminium cases should confirm their specific plate requirements. To maintain the finish, regularly inspect the powder-coated surface for deep scratches and clean with a mild detergent and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could strip the protective coating.
