Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Measure Your Space: Determine the area you wish to cover and calculate the number of panels needed. Remember to account for any cuts.
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure your wall or ceiling surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or debris. A smooth, even surface is crucial for proper adhesion.
- Choose Your Installation Method:
- Screws: For a secure, permanent fix, drill through the felt backing directly into wall studs or using appropriate wall anchors. Consider using black screws for a less visible finish.
- Glue: Apply a strong construction adhesive (e.g., liquid nails) evenly to the back of the felt. Press the panel firmly against the surface.
- Adhesive Tape: For lighter duty or temporary applications, use a high-strength double-sided adhesive tape on the felt backing.
- Cut to Size (if needed): Use a sharp utility knife or a fine-tooth saw to carefully cut the panels to fit around obstacles or to create custom designs. Always measure twice and cut once.
- Install Panels: Begin installation from a corner or a central point, ensuring panels are level and aligned. Work methodically to cover the desired area.
Compatibility
These panels are highly versatile and compatible with most indoor wall and ceiling surfaces. They are suitable for various rooms where acoustic improvement and aesthetic enhancement are desired.
Care & Maintenance
To maintain the beauty and performance of your acoustic panels:
- Dusting: Gently dust the panels regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a duster to prevent buildup.
- Cleaning: For light stains or marks, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the laminated finish or felt.
- Avoid Moisture: While durable, excessive moisture should be avoided to preserve the integrity of the wood and felt components.
