Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before using your skillet for the first time, wash it in warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly. While the enamel is durable, it is best to use silicone or wooden utensils to prevent scratching the surface. This skillet is compatible with gas, electric, ceramic, and induction cooktops. When cooking, use low to medium heat settings for most tasks to prevent overheating. Avoid dragging the pan across stovetop surfaces, especially on glass or induction tops, to prevent scratches. Always allow the skillet to cool completely before placing it in water to avoid thermal shock, which can cause the enamel to crack. While technically dishwasher safe, hand washing with a mild detergent and a soft sponge is highly recommended to extend the life of the enamel.
