Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Upon receiving your Sekonda Taylor watch, you may need to adjust the bracelet to fit your wrist. This usually involves removing links. For optimal fit and to avoid damage, it is recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watch technician. Once sized, simply set the time and date as described in the 'Performance & Real-World Use' section.
Compatibility
As a standalone analog watch, the Sekonda Taylor watch does not require compatibility with other devices or systems. It is designed to be a timeless accessory worn independently.
Product Care & Maintenance
Proper care will ensure your Sekonda Taylor watch remains a cherished item for years to come:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, especially on the metal bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: While `50 meters` water resistant, always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Do not operate the crown when the watch is wet. Avoid exposure to hot water, steam (e.g., in saunas or hot showers), and chemical substances like detergents or perfumes, as these can degrade the seals.
- Impact Protection: Avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to severe shocks, which can damage the internal movement or external components.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place, ideally in its original box or a soft pouch, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops running, it indicates the battery needs replacement. This should be done by a qualified watchmaker to ensure the case is properly sealed and water resistance is maintained.
