Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward as the modules use a standard 288-pin DIMM form factor. Before installing, ensure your motherboard specifically supports DDR5 memory, as it is not backward compatible with DDR4 slots.
- Power down your PC and unplug it from the wall.
- Open your case and locate the memory slots.
- Open the retention clips on the DIMM slots.
- Align the notch on the memory module with the ridge in the slot and press down firmly until the clips snap shut.
- Upon first boot, enter your BIOS to enable the XMP 3.0 profile, which automatically applies the correct 6000 MHz speed and 1.35V voltage settings.
Keep the modules clean by using a can of compressed air occasionally to prevent dust buildup on the heatspreaders, which can trap heat over time.
