Product Information

Full details

The Tefal Pro Express Vision Max GV9910G0 is designed for households that handle heavy ironing loads or frequent garment care and desire professional-grade efficiency without manual guesswork. Its standout benefit is the combination of high-pressure steam performance and the Smart LED Vision system, which illuminates wrinkles for a precision finish; however, users should note that the unit’s substantial size and weight require significant storage space and a dedicated ironing board capable of supporting a steam generator iron.

FAQs

Can I use tap water in this iron?

Yes, tap water is suitable, but if your water is extremely hard, it is recommended to mix it 50/50 with distilled water.

How do I activate the Smart LED Vision?

The light activates automatically when the iron is lifted or moved during use.

Is the steam generator safe for all fabrics?

Yes, the Smart Mode is designed to automatically adjust settings for all ironable fabrics, from silk to linen.

How long does it take to heat up?

The unit generally reaches optimal operating temperature in approximately two minutes.

Does it have an auto-off feature?

Yes, for safety and energy efficiency, the iron will automatically switch to standby mode after a period of inactivity.

Troubleshooting

No steam is being produced

Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted and filled; check that the unit has finished the pre-heating cycle.

Water spots on garments

Avoid using the steam boost function continuously; ensure the ironing board cover is dry and steam-permeable.

Iron indicator light flashing

This may indicate the scale collector needs cleaning or the water tank needs refilling.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Exceptional steam pressure for fast wrinkle removal
Smart LED Vision significantly improves visibility
Automated settings prevent accidental fabric scorching
Large capacity tank allows for long, uninterrupted sessions
Vertical steaming is highly effective for curtains and hanging suits

Cons

Unit footprint is larger than a standard steam iron
Requires a heavy-duty, heat-resistant ironing board
Initial warm-up time is longer than smaller portable units

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up, place the base unit on a stable, flat surface—ideally a purpose-built steam generator ironing board. Fill the removable water tank to the indicated level before switching on.

Compatibility: This iron is compatible with all ironable fabrics. Due to the high steam output, ensure your ironing board cover is steam-permeable to prevent moisture buildup underneath the board.

Maintenance:

Empty the water tank after every session to prevent stagnation.
Periodically clean the scale collector as prompted by the device indicator to maintain steam pressure.
Wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth only when the iron is completely cool to preserve the glide coating.
