Setup
- Attaching the Reel: Attach the reel to your fly rod using the reel seat.
- Spooling: Properly spool the reel with backing, fly line, and leader. Ensure the backing is tight to prevent line slippage.
- Drag Adjustment: Familiarize yourself with the drag knob. Adjust the drag to set the appropriate tension before casting.
Compatibility
The Lamson Liquid S Fly Reel is compatible with a wide range of fly rods and lines. Ensure you match the reel to your rod's line weight for optimal performance. The reel's design accommodates various fly line tapers, from weight-forward to double-taper.
Care
- Rinsing: After each use, rinse the reel with freshwater to remove salt, dirt, and debris.
- Drying: Allow the reel to air dry completely before storing.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of reel lubricant to the drag system and moving parts. Check the manufacturer's guide for recommended lubricants.
- Storage: Store the reel in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
