Confirm the lid is fully closed and sealed. Inspect the rubber seal on the lid for any debris or damage; clean it thoroughly. Ensure the mug is not overfilled beyond the designated fill line.

Wash thoroughly with warm, soapy water. For stubborn stains or odors, fill the mug with a mixture of baking soda and water, let it sit for a few hours or overnight, then wash again. Ensure the lid is also cleaned and dried properly.
