Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This set requires no complex setup. Ensure you have the correct vehicle manufacturer and model to confirm compatibility. Connect the appropriate socket (7mm or 11mm, identified by color) to its dedicated wrench. Attach a brake bleed catch bottle, pressure bleeder, or vacuum bleeder to the nipple on the socket before attempting to bleed the brakes.
Compatibility:
- Vehicle Brands: Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT), BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI.
- Bleeding Systems: Compatible with Laser Part No. 2906 (brake bleed catch bottles), Part No. 8395 (pressure bleeders), and Part Nos. 5780 or 8003 (vacuum bleeders). It can also be used with similar standard brake bleeding equipment.
- Bleed Screw Sizes: Primarily designed for 7mm and 11mm hex brake bleed screws commonly found on the specified German vehicles.
Care:
- Clean the sockets and wrenches with a dry or slightly damp cloth after each use.
- Store the set in a dry environment to prevent corrosion.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, which could damage the finish or markings.
- Regularly inspect for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the nipples remain clear of debris.
