Full details

The Equipguard SAE-30 Pump Oil is designed for professional users seeking robust protection for their pressure washer pumps. Its key benefit is ensuring smooth operation and longevity, even under demanding conditions. A potential caveat is its specific SAE-30 monograde formulation, which may not be suitable for all pump types requiring multi-grade oils. This high-quality monograde oil is ideal for routine servicing and challenging work environments, supporting consistent pump performance across a wide range of pressure washers.

FAQs

What is the main purpose of Equipguard SAE-30 Pump Oil?

Its main purpose is to lubricate and protect the internal components of pressure washer pumps, reducing wear and preventing corrosion.

Can I use this oil in my car engine?

No, this oil is specifically designed for pressure washer pumps and is not suitable for use in automotive engines.

How often should I change the pump oil?

Consult your pressure washer's manual for the recommended service interval. Generally, it is advised to change the oil every 50-100 hours of use or at least once a year.

What does 'monograde' mean?

Monograde means the oil has a single viscosity grade (SAE-30 in this case), unlike multi-grade oils which have a wider operating range.

Is this oil suitable for electric pressure washers?

This oil is primarily intended for use in the pumps of petrol and diesel engine pressure washers. Compatibility with electric models should be confirmed with the manufacturer's specifications.

What is the volume of the container?

The container holds 1 liter (1L) of Equipguard SAE-30 Pump Oil.

Can I mix this oil with other pump oils?

It is generally recommended to avoid mixing different types of oils. Drain the old oil completely before refilling with Equipguard SAE-30 for best performance and protection.

Troubleshooting

Pump is noisy or vibrating excessively

Check the oil level and top up if necessary. Ensure the correct SAE-30 grade oil is used. Inspect for any air leaks in the system.

Loss of pressure or inconsistent output

Verify the oil level is correct. If the oil appears degraded, it may be time for a change. Check for pump seal leaks or blockages in the water lines.

Oil leaks from the pump

Inspect the drain plug and fill cap for proper tightness. Check seals and gaskets for wear or damage and replace if necessary.

Pump overheating

Ensure the oil level is adequate. Clean any external debris from the pump housing. Verify that the correct grade of oil is being used, as incorrect viscosity can lead to overheating.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

To use Equipguard SAE-30 Pump Oil, first consult your pressure washer's manual to confirm the recommended oil type and capacity for the pump. Ensure the pressure washer is turned off and cooled. Locate the oil drain plug on the pump. Drain the old oil completely. Refill the pump with the correct amount of Equipguard SAE-30 oil, typically indicated by a fill line or dipstick. Replace the drain plug securely.

Compatibility:

This SAE-30 monograde pump oil is suitable for most petrol and diesel engine pressure washer pumps. It is specifically recommended for pumps manufactured by Kiam, Karcher, Nilfisk, Interpump, AR, Comet, Lavor, Kranzle, and Pratissoli. Always verify compatibility with your specific pump model in its user manual.

Care:

Regularly check the oil level before each use. Inspect the oil for discoloration or contamination. It is recommended to change the pump oil according to the manufacturer's schedule, typically every 50-100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Store the oil container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
