Full details

The NGT QuickFish Pole is an ideal choice for match and coarse fishing enthusiasts looking for a reliable, versatile 8-meter take-apart pole. It offers the benefit of a hybrid construction—combining a sturdy take-apart body with telescopic top sections—making it perfect for adapting to changing fishing conditions quickly. However, beginners should note that while it comes ready-to-use, customization such as adding elastics will require additional components and intermediate rigging skills.

FAQs

Does the pole come with elastic installed?

No, it is supplied as a standard pole that can be used immediately or elasticated by the user depending on preference.

Can I use this pole for heavy carp fishing?

This pole is designed for general match and coarse fishing; ensure you use appropriate line strengths and elastic settings if targeting large specimens.

How do I protect the pole during transport?

The pole includes a plastic sleeve with a clip, but for maximum protection, we recommend a rigid rod tube.

Are replacement sections available?

Please contact the retailer or manufacturer directly regarding part availability for the FR-F-POLE-QUICKFISH-8M model.

What is the total weight of the pole?

The pole is designed to be well-balanced for an 8m reach, though specific weight can vary based on production tolerances.

Troubleshooting

Sections are difficult to pull apart after fishing

Wipe the joints clean with a dry cloth. Do not force the sections; gently twist while pulling to release the suction caused by grit.

Telescopic top section slides back down during use

Ensure the section is fully extended and locked into place with a firm push. Avoid over-extending the taper.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Efficient hybrid design combines telescopic and take-apart features
Compact 115cm transport length fits most standard gear
Versatile for various coarse and match fishing environments
Ready-to-use out of the packaging
Durable construction ensures longevity

Cons

Elastication requires additional purchase and installation
8-meter length may feel heavy to some beginners over long sessions
Plastic sleeve provides basic protection but is not a hard-shell case

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the pole, carefully slide out the telescopic sections to your desired tension. If you intend to use elastics, ensure you select a compatible pole elastic and internal bush that matches the diameter of the pole tip.

Care instructions include:

Cleaning: Wipe down each section with a damp cloth after each session to remove mud, grit, or weeds that can cause friction when taking the pole apart.
Storage: Always store the pole in its provided sleeve or a dedicated hard-shell pole tube to prevent crushing.
Maintenance: Check the joints periodically for debris before fitting them together to ensure a smooth, secure connection.
