Securit Locking Door Chain - Silver

You will typically need a screwdriver and possibly a drill for pre-drilling holes.

It is compatible with most standard doors, but ensure your door and frame are strong enough to support the chain.

Wipe the chain with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

You can try using longer screws or filling the stripped holes with wood filler before re-screwing the chain.

Lubricate the chain as needed if it becomes stiff or difficult to operate. A few times a year is usually sufficient.

The chain is designed for security but will not withstand extreme force. It primarily provides a deterrent and allows for safe communication.

Check for any obstructions or debris in the locking mechanism. Apply lubricant if necessary.

Tighten the screws with a screwdriver. If the holes are stripped, consider using longer screws or filling the holes with wood filler before re-screwing.

Re-align the chain and the strike plate, making sure they are correctly positioned on the door and frame. Adjust the placement if needed.
