Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before fitting, it is essential to meticulously compare the new wheel stud with the original part. Verify that the spline diameter (16.6mm), spline depth (8.5mm), thread size (M16 x 1.5), and overall dimensions are identical. If there is any doubt, consult a qualified mechanic or trailer specialist.
Installation: Proper installation is crucial for safety. Ensure the stud is seated correctly in the hub. If replacing multiple studs, it is often recommended to replace them in pairs on the same axle. Use appropriate tools to press or thread the stud into place, ensuring it is fully seated and perpendicular to the hub surface. Do not overtighten.
Care: These studs are made from high-grade material for durability. However, to ensure longevity, keep the stud threads clean and free from excessive dirt or debris. Inspect studs regularly for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion, especially before and after long journeys.
