Fulling Mill Iron Blue Dun Winged Dry Fly - Fulling Mill

The Fulling Mill Iron Blue Dun Winged Dry Fly is most effective from May through late October, coinciding with the Iron Blue Dun mayfly hatches.

The fly is available in sizes 14 and 16. Choose the size that best matches the size of the natural Iron Blue Duns in your area.

Cast upstream or upstream-across and mend your line to achieve a drag-free drift. Observe the fish's feeding patterns and adjust your presentation as needed.

Apply a dry fly desiccant or floatant before fishing and reapply as needed to maintain buoyancy.

This fly is most effective in rivers where Iron Blue Dun mayflies are present and trout are actively feeding on them.

After use, rinse the fly with fresh water and allow it to air dry. Store flies in a dry fly box to protect them from damage and maintain their shape.

Check the size and color of the fly to ensure it matches the local Iron Blue Dun hatch. Experiment with different sizes and presentations.

Apply a dry fly desiccant or floatant to the fly to improve buoyancy.

Handle the fly carefully when removing it from fish and store it properly in a fly box to prevent damage.
