Ally's Shrimp Brass Tube Fly - Fulling Mill - 0.75in

The size depends on water conditions and personal preference. 0.75in and 1in are the available sizes. Experiment to determine what works best in your specific fishing environment.

Use a leader that matches your rod weight and the size of the salmon you are targeting. A tapered leader with a tippet appropriate for the conditions is recommended.

Replace the fly if the hook is damaged or dull, if the brass tube is corroded, or if the fly body is falling apart.

While designed for spring salmon fishing, it can be effective in other seasons depending on water conditions and the presence of salmon.

Store your flies in a dry fly box, away from direct sunlight, to prevent corrosion and damage.

A loop knot is recommended for better action, but any strong knot suitable for fly fishing can be used.

Ensure you are using the correct size tube fly for the current conditions. Check your leader and tippet to make sure they are not too light, which can affect the sink rate. Make sure there is no debris on the fly preventing it from sinking.

Adjust your retrieve to keep the fly higher in the water column. Try a slower retrieve or change your casting angle to avoid bottom obstructions.

Check your hook point for sharpness. Ensure your leader and tippet are in good condition. Consider varying your retrieve and presentation.
