Tropica Vesicularia montagnei, known as Christmas Moss, is ideal for aquascapers looking to create a detailed, layered aesthetic on hardscape elements like rocks and driftwood. This laboratory-grown plant provides a safe, pest-free addition to any aquarium, especially those housing sensitive shrimp or fry. While it offers a unique branching structure that mimics fir trees, it requires a moderate level of care, including regular fertilization and CO2, to reach its full growth potential and dense appearance.

No, simply rinse away the nutrient gel under tap water and divide the portions for planting.
It can survive, but it will grow much slower and lose its dense, branching structure.
Yes, because it is a 1-2-Grow laboratory product, it is free of pesticides and perfectly safe for shrimp.
You can use aquarium-safe cyanoacrylate glue or tie it down with thin fishing line until it anchors itself.
Trim every 3-4 weeks to maintain its shape and ensure light reaches all parts of the plant.
This is often caused by lack of light penetration or poor water circulation. Trim the top layers to expose the center to light and improve flow.
Christmas Moss is a slow grower by nature, but adding CO2 and iron-rich fertilizers will significantly accelerate the process.
To begin, open the 1-2-Grow cup and rinse the nutrient gel off the plant under lukewarm tap water. Once clean, divide the mat into 6-8 smaller portions using tweezers. Attach these portions to your desired surface.
