Steering Track Tie Rod End - LH Left - fits VW Transporter IV T4 1996-2003. This is a NEW TRACK ROD END, also known as Tie Rod End or Steering Rack End. APPLICATION GUIDE: MAKE: VW, MODEL: Transporter, Caravelle, YEAR: 1996 - 2003, SIDED: Left. Suits Models from VIN 70-T-200000. The steering rack is connected to the wheel via this Track Rod End. Often any knocking felt in the steering will come from this Track Rod End. The Ball Joint in the Track rod is constantly moving and even a little play in it will quickly wear to a massive and dangerous amount. It can wear out quickly due to its constant moving or get damage from impact to the wheel, be it from severe potholes, kerbs, or accidents. If a Track Rod End is bent it is recommended NEVER to try and straighten it as the strength of the part will be greatly compromised. Excellent quality.
