Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up, choose a level surface where the press can be secured. If you are pressing outdoors, consider bolting the feet to a heavy wooden board or a concrete pad. Before use, ensure all components—particularly the steel base and the hardwood slats—are thoroughly cleaned and food-safe.
After each use, rinse the basket and base plate immediately to prevent fruit sugars from hardening or attracting insects. Wipe the hardwood components with a food-grade mineral oil periodically to prevent the wood from drying out or cracking over seasons. Store the press in a dry, cool place to prevent the steel components from corroding.
