The HOMCOM 13L Catering Urn is designed for high-demand environments like busy offices, community centers, and large family gatherings where a constant supply of hot water is essential. Its primary benefit is the combination of a large 13-litre capacity and a rapid 2500W heating element, ensuring you spend less time waiting for refills; however, users should note that its physical footprint is quite large, making it less suitable for compact home kitchen countertops.

No, this unit is specifically designed for boiling water. Heating milk, soups, or sugar-based liquids can damage the heating element and is difficult to clean.
The indicator light will typically shift or turn off once the set temperature has been reached.
The stainless steel exterior can become hot during operation; use the handles provided and avoid touching the sides.
No, for safety reasons and energy efficiency, the unit should be turned off when not in use for extended periods.
The unit should have an internal safety cut-off, but you should always monitor water levels to prevent the dry-boil protection from triggering.
Check for heavy limescale buildup on the heating element and perform a descaling cycle.
Verify that the unit is securely plugged into a working outlet and the thermostat dial is set above the lowest position.
Ensure the tap handle is fully returned to the 'off' position and check that no sediment is blocking the seal.
To set up, place the unit on a flat, heat-resistant surface near a standard power outlet. Ensure the area is clear of clutter to allow for proper airflow. Upon first use, it is recommended to boil a full tank of water and discard it to clean the interior surfaces.
