The Timco Jigsaw Blades (AMG12) are essential tools for metalworkers and DIY enthusiasts who require clean, precise cuts in metal sheeting and thin metal profiles. Constructed from High Speed Steel (HSS), these blades excel in high-heat environments and are perfectly suited for mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. While they offer exceptional durability in metal applications, users should note that they are optimized for thin materials ranging from 2.5mm to 6.0mm, making them less suitable for thick structural metal sections.

No, these blades are specifically designed for metal cutting. The tooth geometry and material composition are not optimized for wood and will lead to poor results.
These are T-shank blades, which are the standard for most modern jigsaws. As a T118B equivalent, they fit the vast majority of cordless and corded jigsaws.
The recommended cutting capacity is between 2.5mm and 6.0mm.
Using a cutting lubricant or oil can significantly extend the life of the blade and result in a cleaner cut, particularly when working with stainless steel.
The pitch refers to the distance between the tips of the teeth. A 2.0mm pitch is fine enough to provide a smooth finish on thin metal sheets without snagging.
Reduce your feed rate and ensure the jigsaw guide shoe is held firmly flat against the surface of the metal.
Decrease the stroke speed of your jigsaw and consider using a cutting lubricant or oil to reduce friction.
Ensure the material thickness is within the 2.5mm-6.0mm range; thin materials may snag on coarse teeth, while thicker materials place too much stress on the blade.
To install, ensure your jigsaw is disconnected from the power source. Insert the shank of the blade into the blade clamp until it clicks securely into place, ensuring the teeth are facing forward. For optimal performance, secure your workpiece firmly with clamps to minimize vibration. After use, wipe the blade clean with an oily rag to prevent surface rust, especially after cutting steel. Store blades in their original packaging or a protective case to keep the fine teeth from becoming chipped or dulled by contact with other metal tools.
