Full details
The Penn-Plax Clear-Free Premium Under Gravel Filter is an air-driven system that cycles crystal clear water through your aquarium. It offers biological, chemical, and physical filtration by drawing water through the gravel and filter plates. As water is drawn through, anaerobic bacteria colonize within the gravel and filter plates, contributing to the filtration process. This filter also aerates your tank simultaneously through the use of Air Stones and an Air Pump (not included), acting as both a filter and a bubbler. It is suitable for most 10-gallon aquariums and provides simple, easy maintenance. The package includes 2 Filter Plates, 2 Adjustable Lift Tubes, 2 Straight Airline Tubes, 3 Filter Plate Connecters, and 2 Replaceable Filt-a-Carb Activated Carbon Media Cartridges. Each filter plate measures 9.5" x 9.5", and together they cover 19" x 9.5". Lift tubes are adjustable from 9.75" to 12.75" at the filter plate base.
