FAQs

How much Burgess Excel Rabbit Nuggets should I feed my rabbit?

Follow the feeding guidelines on the packaging, based on your rabbit's age and size. A small handful daily is usually sufficient, alongside plenty of hay.

Can I feed this to my adult rabbit?

These nuggets are specifically designed for junior and dwarf rabbits. While a small amount might not be harmful for an adult, it's best to use a food specifically formulated for adult rabbits.

What if my rabbit doesn't like the nuggets?

Try mixing the nuggets with some of your rabbit's favorite greens. Ensure that the hay is always readily available. If the issue persists, consult with your vet.

How should I store the rabbit nuggets?

Store the nuggets in a cool, dry place, sealed to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

Can I use this food for pregnant or nursing rabbits?

Consult with your veterinarian about the best diet for pregnant or nursing rabbits. They may require a specialized food that meets their specific nutritional needs.

Are there any artificial colors or preservatives in the nuggets?

Check the product packaging for a full list of ingredients. Burgess Excel often uses natural ingredients and avoids artificial additives.

How long will a bag of nuggets last?

This depends on the size of the bag and how many rabbits you have. Always check the packaging for approximate daily feeding amounts.

Troubleshooting

Rabbit is not eating the nuggets.

Try mixing the nuggets with some of your rabbit's favorite greens or offering them at a time when they're particularly hungry. If the problem persists, consult your vet.

Rabbit has soft stools after starting nuggets.

Reduce the amount of nuggets you are feeding. It can take a few days for your rabbit's digestive system to adjust to new food.
