Setup
- Connect the Router: Plug the DSL-AC88U into a power outlet and connect it to your modem via the DSL or Ethernet port, depending on your internet service type.
- Power On: Turn on the router. The power LED should light up.
- Connect to the Network: Connect your devices to the router's Wi-Fi network. The default network name and password can be found on a label on the router.
- Access the ASUSWRT Interface: Open a web browser and enter the router's IP address (typically 192.168.1.1) to access the setup wizard.
- Follow the Setup Wizard: The wizard guides you through the process of setting up your internet connection, Wi-Fi settings, and other preferences.
Compatibility
The ASUS DSL-AC88U is compatible with:
- ADSL, ADSL2/2+, VDSL2, and Ethernet connections.
- Wi-Fi devices supporting 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards.
- Operating systems that support web browsers for configuration (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Care
- Placement: Place the router in an open, central location, away from obstructions and interference (microwaves, cordless phones).
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the router to prevent overheating.
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the ASUSWRT interface to ensure optimal performance and security.
