The GolfBuddy Shot Mate Launch Monitor is designed for golfers of all skill levels who want to improve their consistency and distance control through immediate, data-driven feedback. Its primary benefit is the ability to track four essential metrics—club speed, ball speed, smash factor, and distance—without requiring a smartphone, app, or monthly subscription. While highly convenient for quick practice sessions, note that the device is a portable radar unit and may require careful placement to maintain consistent accuracy in high-interference environments.

No, the GolfBuddy Shot Mate operates entirely as a standalone device with an integrated LCD screen.
It tracks four key metrics: club speed, ball speed, smash factor, and carry or total distance.
The device offers approximately 3 hours of continuous use on a single full charge.
Yes, the device includes a dedicated practice swing mode for monitoring club speed without hitting a ball.
You can manage and clear your 250-shot history log through the device settings menu.
The Shot Mate is not waterproof; avoid using it in heavy rain or wet conditions to protect the internal radar electronics.
Ensure the monitor is placed at the correct distance from the ball and that the sensor face is pointing directly toward the target line.
Check that the device is sitting on a flat, level surface and that there are no large metal objects or electrical interference sources nearby.
Check the battery level; if low, the backlighting may dim. Connect to a USB-C power source to charge.
To begin using the Shot Mate, ensure the device is fully charged using the included USB-C cable. Position the monitor approximately 12 to 24 inches behind the ball, ensuring the sensor face is parallel to your target line. Avoid placing the device on uneven surfaces that might cause it to tilt. For maintenance, keep the sensor area clean from dirt and debris. When not in use, fold the kickstand and store the unit in a protective case to prevent scratches on the LCD screen. Avoid exposing the electronics to extreme moisture or rain.
