Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation of the Nuie 500mm Basin & WC Unit typically requires professional plumbing and tiling expertise due to the integrated nature of the unit and the concealed cistern. Ensure the wall behind the unit is structurally sound to support the WC frame and cistern. Measure the available space carefully, accounting for necessary access panels for the cistern.
Compatibility:
- Toilet Pan: This unit is designed to be compatible with back-to-wall toilet pans. Please ensure the chosen pan has a compatible flush mechanism and waste outlet.
- Basin Tap: The basin features a single tap hole, suitable for monobloc basin mixer taps. Ensure the tap is purchased separately if not included.
- Plumbing: Standard UK plumbing connections are required. The concealed cistern will need a water supply inlet and a waste outlet connection.
Care:
- Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the gloss grey surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the finish. For stubborn marks, use a mild, non-abrasive household cleaner.
- Cleaning the Basin: Use standard bathroom cleaners for the basin. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
- Maintenance: Periodically check for leaks around the basin and toilet connections. Access to the concealed cistern for maintenance is usually provided via a removable panel, often integrated into the unit's access or the flush plate area.
