Setup, Compatibility & Care
To prepare the pot for live plants, identify the designated base area and carefully use a drill to create drainage holes, which prevents root rot caused by standing water. Fill the bottom 2-3 inches with gravel or hydro-leca to improve drainage efficiency before adding your potting mix. For long-term care, simply wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or rinse with a garden hose to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these may damage the vintage brown finish. During extreme weather, consider moving the planter to a protected area to preserve the integrity of the material.
