FAQs

What drill bit size do I need?

You need a 5.5mm drill bit.

What materials are these plugs suitable for?

These plugs are suitable for concrete and masonry.

Can I use these plugs outdoors?

While the plugs themselves are durable, ensure the screw and item you are fixing are suitable for outdoor use.

What is the maximum weight these plugs can hold?

These plugs are designed for medium and lightweight applications. The exact weight capacity will depend on the substrate and screw used.

What if the plug is too short?

Ensure the drill hole is the correct depth. If the plug is still too short, the hole may be deeper than required, you may need a longer plug or filler.

Can I reuse these plugs?

Yes, but inspect them for damage before reuse. If the plug is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Where can I buy replacement plugs?

Replacement plugs are typically available from the same retailer where you purchased the original pack.

Troubleshooting

Plug spins in the hole.

The drill hole may be too large. Try using a slightly larger screw or filling the hole with a suitable filler before re-inserting the plug.

Screw doesn't tighten.

The screw may be too short. Use a longer screw or ensure the screw thread is compatible with the plug.

Pros and Cons

  • Suitable for various concrete and masonry materials.
  • Provides a reliable fixing solution for medium-weight items.

Cons

  • Performance may vary depending on the substrate's condition.
  • Requires precise drill hole size for optimal hold.
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty applications.
  • May require reducing drill diameter in soft materials.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

  1. Drilling: Use a 5.5mm drill bit to create a hole in the wall. The depth should be slightly longer than the plug.
  2. Insertion: Insert the plastic plug into the drilled hole. If necessary, use a hammer to gently tap it flush with the wall surface.
  3. Screw Insertion: Place the item you want to secure over the plug, and insert the appropriate screw. Tighten until the item is firmly held.

These plugs are compatible with most common screws. Always use screws of appropriate length for your application. No special care is required; these plugs are maintenance-free.
