FAQs
What is Kubu rattan?
Kubu rattan is a type of natural rattan known for its durability and characteristic greyish hue, often achieved through a traditional smoking process. It's a sustainable material.
How much water can this basket hold?
The basket is designed to catch drips from wet umbrellas. It's not meant to be submerged or hold large volumes of standing water. Regular emptying and drying are recommended.
Can this basket be used outdoors?
It is designed for indoor use. Prolonged exposure to outdoor elements like rain and sun can damage the natural rattan material.
How do I clean the basket?
Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure it dries thoroughly after cleaning.
Will the grey color fade?
The grey color is natural to the Kubu rattan. To maintain its appearance, avoid direct, prolonged sunlight exposure, which can cause fading over time.
What are the dimensions of the basket?
Please refer to the product's specific dimensions listed on the product page, as exact measurements can vary slightly for handcrafted items.
Troubleshooting
Basket appears dry or brittle
Lightly mist with water or wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid over-saturating. Ensure it is not in a very dry, hot environment.
Minor scuffs or marks on the surface
Attempt to gently wipe with a clean, damp cloth. For minor imperfections, the natural material's texture can often help camouflage them.
Excessive water leakage
While designed to contain drips, significant water pooling may occur. Ensure umbrellas are shaken off slightly before placing them in the basket and dry the base of the basket regularly.
