This palette is specifically optimized for water-based media like acrylic, gouache, and watercolor. Oil paints may require solvent-based cleaning that could potentially degrade the surface.
No, it is recommended to wash the palette by hand to preserve the integrity of the hinges and the finish of the mixing surface.
The palette is crafted from durable, lightweight plastic specifically selected for its non-absorbent properties.
The palette is designed to close securely to protect wet paint, but it is not intended to be airtight enough to hold liquid pools of water.
Plastic or wooden palette knives are recommended to avoid scratching the surface. Avoid sharp metal edges.
Soak the palette in a small amount of warm water for a few minutes to soften the paint, then gently wipe away with a soft sponge.
Ensure no dried paint residue is caught in the hinge mechanism; clean carefully with a damp cloth or cotton swab.
No complex setup is required for the HIMI palette; it is ready for use immediately out of the packaging. It is compatible with all standard water-based media, including acrylics, gouache, and watercolors. To maintain the palette's integrity, avoid using metal palette knives or abrasive scouring pads that could create grooves in the mixing surface. After each use, simply rinse the palette under warm water. For stubborn dried acrylics, use a soft sponge and mild soap to gently lift the pigment before rinsing thoroughly.
