Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of the leather, avoid using harsh chemicals; instead, use a high-quality leather conditioner designed for vegetable-tanned products. Before the first use, ensure the buckles are correctly adjusted to allow for two fingers of clearance between the noseband and the horse’s jawline. The faux fur lining should be removed periodically and washed gently to remove sweat and debris, which prevents matting and maintains its anti-shock properties. When storing, keep the noseband in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from drying out or cracking.
