The Makita DUX18 18v LXT split-shaft motor unit has an effective output of 470 watts, a soft start system to protect the operator from initial power loading, and Makita's "Active Feedback Sensing Technology" (AFT) that shuts down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly reduces or if the blade or line head snags. It features a brushless motor, loop handle, overload protection, electric brake, variable speed control, soft start, and constant speed control. The Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) shuts down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly slows down. This is a multi-tool system with versatile optional attachments for a range of applications, and tool-less installation of attachments. The Makita 196101-1 Split Shaft Pole Saw Chainsaw Attachment is compatible with BUX360, UX360D, EX2650LH, and DUX60 18v split shaft engines. This high-quality gardening tool makes it easy to work on hard-to-reach branches. To attach the pole pruner, push the attachment into the female connector until it locks. To remove, press the red button on the shaft and pull the attachment out. It has a 10" reversible sprocket nose bar for efficient pruning. Efficiency features include a translucent bar oil tank with adjustable automatic chain lubrication and a steel drive shaft engineered for lower vibration and longer service life. The kit includes a shoulder strap, hex wrench, safety goggles, and an accessory bag. Batteries and charger are not supplied.
