Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon receiving your Raleigh Motus e-bike, initial setup typically involves attaching the handlebars, pedals, and front wheel if not pre-assembled. We recommend consulting the user manual provided with your bike for detailed, step-by-step instructions. The bike is designed to be compatible with standard bicycle accessories, and the MIK rear rack allows for easy attachment of compatible bags and baskets. For optimal care, regularly clean the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure tire pressure is maintained according to the recommendations on the tire sidewall. The Bosch motor and battery system require minimal user maintenance; however, it's crucial to keep the battery contacts clean and dry. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. Periodically check brake pads, chain (if applicable to specific model configurations), and tire wear. The hub gears are low maintenance due to their enclosed nature, but if you experience shifting issues, refer to the troubleshooting section or consult a qualified bicycle mechanic.
