Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: The Pure Loop 3 360mm supports a wide range of modern CPU sockets, including Intel LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 115x series, and AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets. Ensure your PC case has sufficient mounting space for a 360mm radiator (typically 3 x 120mm fan mounts).
Setup:
- Preparation: Ensure your system is powered off and unplugged. Prepare the mounting hardware for your specific CPU socket.
- Mount Waterblock: Apply the included thermal grease to your CPU. Attach the waterblock to the CPU using the provided mounting kit, following the manual's instructions for your socket type.
- Mount Radiator and Fans: Secure the 360mm radiator and its three fans to the designated mounting points in your PC case (top, front, or rear, depending on case layout).
- Connect Cables: Connect the fan cables to the motherboard or a fan controller. Connect the 4-pin pump connector to the corresponding header on your motherboard.
- Cable Management: Utilize the daisy-chaining feature for fans to minimize cable clutter. Route all cables neatly.
- Final Check: Double-check all connections before powering on your system.
Care:
- Cleaning: Periodically dust the radiator fins and fan blades using compressed air or a soft brush to maintain optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. Wipe down the exterior of the waterblock and tubes with a soft, dry cloth.
- Fluid Level: The easily accessible refill port allows for topping up the coolant if necessary, though this is typically only needed very infrequently (refer to the manual for specific recommendations). Avoid opening the loop unless absolutely necessary and instructed by support.
- Monitor Performance: Keep an eye on CPU temperatures through your system's monitoring software to ensure the cooler is performing as expected.
