The Streetwize Tie Down Kit (SWTD9) is designed for car, truck, boat, and motorcycle owners needing to secure various loads safely and effectively. Its key benefit is providing a comprehensive set of versatile tie-downs with robust load ratings. A minor caveat is that users should always ensure straps are not overtightened to prevent damage to sensitive cargo.

The buckle and ratchet tie-downs have a working load of 250 kg and a breaking capacity of 500 kg.
While the vinyl-coated hooks protect surfaces, it's advisable to use edge protectors (not included) if the strap itself will be in direct contact with sharp edges to prevent strap damage.
The luggage elastics are designed for lighter applications like securing luggage on trolleys or bundling items. They are not suitable for heavy-duty load securing like the buckle or ratchet tie-downs.
Clean the straps with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before storing. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
It is recommended to inspect all straps for wear, fraying, cuts, or other damage before each use. Replace any damaged straps immediately.
Buckle tie-downs use a simple buckle mechanism for quick fastening and release, suitable for lighter loads or where precise tension isn't critical. Ratchet tie-downs use a ratcheting mechanism to achieve very high tension, ideal for securing heavier or more sensitive loads where vibration could loosen straps.
Ensure the strap is correctly threaded through the buckle mechanism and is not twisted. Check for any debris caught in the buckle.
Check for dirt or debris in the ratchet gears. Clean with a dry brush. Avoid excessive force if stiff; a small amount of lubricant might help if persistently stiff, but ensure it doesn't compromise grip.
Inspect the hook for damage. If bent, it should not be used. If only scratched, the vinyl coating may be compromised, increasing the risk of scratching cargo or anchor points.
This is a sign of wear. Replace the elastic to ensure secure fastening. Avoid stretching elastics beyond their recommended capacity.
