Troubleshooting

Repellent is not working effectively

Ensure the device is fully charged and the mat is inserted correctly into the heating chamber. Check if the device is positioned in an area with excessive wind which may disperse the repellent too quickly.

Device is not heating the mat

Verify that your Flextail device is turned on and that the battery level is sufficient for the heating element to reach operating temperature.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Quick 50-second activation time
No chemical residue on skin due to DEET-free formula
Smoke-free and flame-free operation
Safe for use around people and pets
Easy to replace and dispose of

Cons

Requires a specific Flextail hardware device
Mats must be replaced every 4-6 hours
Not effective in high-wind conditions without adequate heating unit performance
Cannot be used without power access for the repellent device

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using the mats, ensure your Flextail device (Tiny Repel, Max Repel, or Light Repel) is fully charged. Slide the repellent mat into the designated slot on your device. Once the device is powered on, the heating element will engage; ensure the device is placed on a stable, flat surface away from direct contact with fabrics or sensitive surfaces. When the mat fades to a pale color, it indicates that the active ingredients have been depleted and it is time to replace it with a fresh mat. Always dispose of used mats in accordance with local waste regulations and store unused mats in a cool, dry place to maintain their efficacy.
