Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (Application)
Getting started with your Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint is straightforward:
- Clean Nails: Start with clean, dry nails. Remove any old polish, file, and gently buff if needed to create an ideal surface.
- Base Coat (Optional): Apply a thin layer of a clear base coat to protect your nails and enhance polish adhesion. Let it dry completely.
- First Color Coat: Apply a thin, even coat of `Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint - Blue Margarita`. Paint from the cuticle to the free edge.
- Second Color Coat: Once the first coat is dry to the touch (usually 2-5 minutes), apply a second thin coat for opaque color and depth.
- Topcoat (Recommended): For optimal `high shine` and `plumping` effect, apply the `Barry M Plumpy Topcoat`. This step is crucial for achieving the advertised gel-like finish and longevity.
- Drying Time: Allow your nails to fully dry. This can take 15-30 minutes for a complete set, depending on coat thickness and environmental conditions.
Compatibility
- Base Coat: Compatible with most standard nail polish base coats.
- Topcoat: Highly recommended to be used with `Barry M Plumpy Topcoat` for best results. Other fast-drying or gel-effect topcoats may also work, but the Plumpy Topcoat is specifically formulated to complement this range.
- Removal: Can be removed with any standard nail polish remover (acetone or non-acetone), just like traditional nail polish.
Care
- Storage: Store the nail paint upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent thickening or separation. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use.
- Longevity: To extend the life of your manicure, wear gloves when doing household chores, gardening, or activities that involve prolonged water exposure.
- Thickening: If the polish becomes thick over time, add 1-2 drops of a dedicated nail polish thinner (not nail polish remover) and gently roll the bottle between your palms to mix.
