Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before installation, confirm that your existing heating controller uses a 6-terminal Honeywell backplate compatible with models ST9100C, ST9100A, ST6100A/C, or ST7100. This timer is *not* designed to work with other brands like Drayton, Horstmann, or ESI unless a complete rewire is performed.
Installation:
- Ensure power to your heating system is switched OFF at the main breaker.
- Carefully remove the old Honeywell timer from its backplate.
- The LavaTap Pro timer should clip directly onto the existing 6-terminal Honeywell backplate. No rewiring is necessary if compatibility is confirmed.
- Restore power to the heating system.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set the current time and date, and then program your desired heating schedule.
Care:
To clean the timer, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit remains dry.
Power Outages: The timer features built-in memory that retains all settings during power interruptions. The internal clock also automatically adjusts for daylight saving time.
