Chemico Valve Grinding Paste - Fine & Coarse Grade - 100g

Use a small amount of paste, just enough to coat the valve face.

The valve should have a consistent, uniform contact pattern on the valve face and seat. This can be checked with dye.

This paste is specifically designed for engine valves. Avoid using it on other engine components unless explicitly recommended.

You'll need a valve grinding tool or lapping stick, cleaning materials, and potentially a valve spring compressor.

Use a suitable solvent and a clean cloth to remove all traces of the grinding paste and debris.

When stored properly, the paste should remain effective for several years.

Coarse grade is used for initial grinding to remove material, while fine grade is used for final lapping to achieve a perfect seal.

Re-lap the valve, ensuring complete contact between the valve face and seat. Check for debris and ensure proper cleaning.

Ensure you are using the correct grade for the stage of grinding. Check for excessive wear on the valve or seat requiring more aggressive grinding.

Ensure the tin is properly sealed to prevent drying. If the paste has dried, it may be less effective; consider replacing it.
