FAQs

What tools do I need to install the trim?

You will need a measuring tape, a saw (if cutting is necessary), a cleaning cloth, adhesive (or screws, if applicable), and potentially clamps or tape.

Can I use this trim on any type of worktop?

No, this trim is specifically designed for worktops that are 28mm thick and 600mm wide.

How do I cut the trim to the correct size?

Use a fine-tooth saw to cut the trim. Ensure you measure accurately and cut slowly to avoid damaging the trim.

What type of adhesive should I use?

Use a construction adhesive suitable for bonding metal to wood or chipboard. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions for application.

Can I paint the trim?

How do I remove the trim if I need to replace it?

Carefully pry the trim away from the worktop. You may need to use a putty knife to separate it. Clean any remaining adhesive from the worktop before installing a new trim.

Troubleshooting

Trim does not fit properly.

Double-check measurements and ensure the trim is the correct size for your worktop. Re-measure and adjust if necessary. Make sure you have the correct thickness of worktop.

Adhesive is not holding the trim in place.

Ensure the worktop and the trim surfaces are clean before applying adhesive. Use a high-quality adhesive suitable for the materials. Consider using clamps or tape to hold the trim in place while the adhesive dries.
