Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your drill, bolt the cast iron base securely to a flat, level workbench to prevent movement during use. Regularly clear the worktable of metal shavings or wood dust using a brush, as debris can interfere with material flatness. Ensure the spindle is wiped clean of dust and lightly lubricated if the drill will sit idle for long periods. Always verify that your drill bit is securely tightened in the chuck before starting the motor. For material compatibility, ensure you select the appropriate drill bit type (e.g., masonry bits for tiles, HSS bits for metal) to avoid overheating the motor or damaging the bit.
