DC Fix static cling window film is a popular and easy DIY solution for enhancing privacy or adding a decorative touch to windows, doors, and shower screens. It offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional blinds, with a simple application process. Beyond aesthetics and privacy, this vinyl film provides 95% UV protection, helping to prevent fading in your furnishings and reducing glare without compromising light. The film is applied to clean, smooth glass surfaces by spraying generously with water, removing the backing, and smoothing into place. Any excess water can be pushed out, and mistakes can be easily corrected by peeling and repositioning. Once dry, the water leaves a flawless finish. Ensure a 5mm gap at the edges, applying the vinyl only to the glass and not the rubber seal to prevent detachment. This non-permanent solution is ideal for homeowners, renters, and landlords seeking an affordable window upgrade. The film can be cleaned with standard household cleaners and can be removed and reapplied without leaving any residue, making it reusable. Made in Germany, DC Fix vinyl films are highly rated for adhesion, opacity, lightfastness, shrinkage, and durability.
