Full details
The Rackhams Evelle Chrome Touch Table Lamp in Grey is designed for those seeking an elegant and sophisticated accent light for smaller spaces. Its key benefit is the 3-stage dimming touch control, offering adjustable ambient lighting. A potential caveat is its compact size, which may not suit larger rooms. This table lamp features a polished chrome finish and a textured smoke grey glass shade that beautifully diffuses light, creating a soft, ambient glow. It's ideal for bedside tables, hallways, or narrow shelves, adding a touch of luxury. The lamp includes a matching grey braided cable and touch control for effortless operation.

FAQs
What type of light bulb does this lamp require?
The Rackhams Evelle lamp requires one SES14 (Small Edison Screw) candle bulb. Please ensure you purchase the correct type.
How does the 3-stage dimming work?
Simply touch the base of the lamp. Each touch cycles through three brightness levels: low, medium, and high. A subsequent touch will turn the lamp off.
Can I use any SES14 bulb?
While it requires an SES14 base, it's recommended to check the lamp's maximum wattage specification (usually found on a sticker on the lamp base or in its manual) and use an LED or incandescent bulb within that limit for optimal performance and safety.
Is the grey colour of the shade consistent?
The shade is a smoke grey with a textured finish. While every effort is made to ensure colour accuracy, variations can occur due to screen settings and the unique nature of tinted glass.
What are the exact dimensions of the lamp?
The product dimensions are Height 20.5 cm and Diameter 12 cm.
Is this lamp suitable for a child's bedroom?
The lamp features touch control, which can be safer than traditional switches. However, due to its glass construction, it should be placed out of reach of young children to prevent accidental breakage or injury.
Does the lamp come with a bulb?
No, the light bulb is not included with the Rackhams Evelle Chrome Touch Table Lamp and must be purchased separately.
Troubleshooting
Lamp does not turn on
Ensure the lamp is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Check that the SES14 bulb is screwed in securely and is not burnt out. Try a different compatible bulb.
Touch control is unresponsive
Make sure you are touching the designated touch-sensitive area on the base. Ensure the lamp is plugged in and receiving power. If the issue persists, unplug the lamp, wait for 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
Light flickers or is dim
The bulb may be loose or nearing the end of its life. Try tightening the bulb or replacing it with a new, compatible SES14 bulb. Ensure the power connection is stable.
Glass shade is loose
Carefully check if the shade is seated correctly on the lamp base. Some shades may have a securing mechanism; consult the product packaging or manual if unsure. Ensure the lamp is unplugged while adjusting.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the lamp is unplugged from the power source.

- Screw in one SES14 candle bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not overtighten.
- Place the glass shade onto the lamp base, ensuring it sits securely.
- Plug the lamp into a suitable power outlet.
- Gently touch the base to activate the touch control and cycle through the dimming settings.
Compatibility:
- Requires 1 x SES14 (Small Edison Screw) candle bulb. Check bulb packaging for wattage compatibility, typically up to 40W is suitable for this type of lamp, but refer to the lamp's rating if specified.
Care:
- Always unplug the lamp before cleaning.
- For the chrome base, use a soft, dry, or slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe away dust and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the finish.
