No, this bracket is specifically engineered for the 2002-2003 YZF-R1 model years.
It is designed to be lightweight, focusing on high strength-to-weight ratio to keep the motorcycle agile.
Standard motorcycle toolkit wrenches and hex keys are typically sufficient for installation.
The bracket is designed to utilize your motorcycle's existing factory hardware.
It provides a rigid central mount that connects the fairings to the frame, preventing them from flapping at high speeds.
Ensure the bracket is not bent and check that all fairing fasteners are threaded correctly before tightening them fully.
Verify that all mounting bolts connecting the bracket to the frame are properly torqued.
Installation should be performed with the front upper fairing removed to allow clear access to the mounting bolts on the headstock. We recommend using a torque wrench to ensure all fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications to prevent stress fractures. Periodically check the mounting hardware for signs of loosening caused by engine vibration. To care for the component, ensure that the powder-coated or painted finish remains intact to prevent corrosion, especially if you reside in an area with high humidity or road salt exposure.
