FAQs

Is this mat suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, it is suitable for outdoors; however, it must be kept in a sheltered area to prevent damage from the elements.

How do I clean the Bright Blooms mat?

Simply shake it out or use a firm brush to remove loose dirt and debris.

Will the floral design fade?

The design is durable, but to preserve the vibrancy, we recommend avoiding placement in areas with direct, intense sunlight.

Is the backing safe for all floor types?

The eco-friendly latex backing is designed to be non-slip and generally safe for most standard floor surfaces.

Can I vacuum this mat?

Yes, you can use a vacuum on the mat, though shaking it is usually the most effective method for deep cleaning.

Troubleshooting

The mat slides on my floor

Ensure the floor surface underneath is clean and dry before placing the mat, as dust or moisture can affect the grip of the latex backing.

The mat is shedding fibres

It is normal for natural coconut fibre mats to shed slightly during the first few weeks of use; regular shaking or brushing will remove loose material.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent at trapping mud and dirt
Eco-friendly materials used in backing
Non-slip design for safety
Attractive, vibrant floral design

Cons

Requires sheltered placement for outdoor use
Natural fibres may shed slightly during initial use
Floral design may fade if exposed to direct, constant sunlight

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Bright Blooms mat is simple: place it on a flat, even surface at your entryway. The latex backing provides stability on most surfaces, including wood, tile, and concrete.

Care Instructions:

Routine Cleaning: Regularly shake out the mat or use a stiff brush to dislodge trapped dirt.
Environmental Protection: For outdoor use, place the mat in a sheltered area—such as under a porch roof or awning—to shield it from excessive rain or direct UV exposure.
Moisture Management: While coir is naturally absorbent, avoid soaking the mat, as it will take longer to dry and may lead to natural fibre degradation if left constantly wet.
