FAQs
How do I clean the reservoir to prevent mold?
Rinse thoroughly after each use. For deeper cleaning, use warm water with a mild soap or a specialized reservoir cleaning kit. Ensure it is completely dry by hanging it upside down with the cap and bite valve open before storing.
Is this reservoir compatible with any backpack?
The SpeedClip Backpack Connector is optimized for Gregory backpacks featuring the SpeedClip system. While the reservoir itself will fit in most hydration-compatible sleeves due to its slim profile, the secure locking mechanism is specific to compatible packs.
How do I ensure the bite valve doesn't leak when not in use?
The bite valve features a lever closure. Ensure this lever is moved to the closed position when you are not drinking to prevent any potential leaks.
What is the main benefit of the soft-moulded 3D design?
The primary benefit is to help prevent bacteria growth by minimizing crevices and allowing for better airflow when drying, contributing to cleaner water storage.
Can I put hot liquids in this reservoir?
This hydration reservoir is designed for cold or room temperature water only. Hot liquids can damage the material and pose a burn risk.
How heavy is the reservoir when empty?
The empty reservoir weighs approximately 0.16kg (0.35 lbs).
What are the dimensions of the reservoir?
The reservoir measures approximately 36cm (Height) x 20cm (Width) x 4cm (Depth).
Troubleshooting
Reservoir leaks from the cap
Ensure the screw-cap is fully tightened. Check the cap's seal for any debris or damage.
Water flow is weak or non-existent
Check that the bite valve lever is fully open. Ensure there are no kinks in the hydration hose. Verify the reservoir is positioned correctly in the pack and not compressed.
Difficulty attaching to backpack
Confirm your backpack is equipped with the Gregory SpeedClip system. Ensure the reservoir's connector is aligned correctly with the backpack's hanger.
Unpleasant taste in water
Thoroughly clean and rinse the reservoir, hose, and bite valve with warm water and mild soap, or a specialized cleaning solution. Ensure it is completely dry before storing.
Magnetic sternum clip not holding hose
Ensure the hose is positioned correctly within the clip. Check the magnet for any obstructions. If the magnet is damaged, contact customer support.
