Full details
The Fox Ranger Race Pants are designed for mountain bikers who prioritize a lightweight, performance-focused fit that transitions seamlessly from the trails to casual settings. Built with durable nylon and a slim, tapered silhouette, these pants effectively prevent snagging on trail obstacles while maintaining pedal-friendly flexibility. While they offer excellent mobility and storage, users should note that the slim fit is tailored specifically for a performance aesthetic rather than a loose, baggy feel.

FAQs
Are these pants waterproof?
The pants are made of durable nylon which provides some resistance to light moisture, but they are not categorized as fully waterproof.
Can I wear knee pads underneath these pants?
Yes, the stretch fabric allows for most slim-profile knee pads to be worn underneath comfortably.
Do these pants include a built-in chamois?
No, these are outer shell pants and do not come with a built-in padded chamois liner.
How should I wash them?
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang dry to maintain material performance.
Are the pockets large enough for a phone?
The zippered hand pockets are sized for common trail essentials, though larger smartphones may fit better in a dedicated jersey pocket or pack.
Troubleshooting
Waist feels too loose during riding
Adjust the internal waist cinch system to tighten the fit until secure against the hips.
Zipper feels stiff
Clear any debris or trail dirt from the zipper track and ensure no fabric is caught in the teeth.
Pros and Cons
Pros

- Comfortable enough for off-bike wear
- Secure zippered storage for trail essentials

Cons

- Nylon material provides minimal insulation in extreme cold
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your pants stay in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Fitting: Adjust the integrated waist cinch before your ride to ensure the pants do not sag during vigorous movement.
- Compatibility: These pants are designed to be worn over standard chamois liners, as they do not feature an integrated pad.
- Cleaning: Wash in cold water using a mild, non-abrasive detergent. To preserve the longevity of the nylon fabric and the stretch components, avoid using fabric softeners.
- Drying: Air drying is recommended to maintain the integrity of the fabric's performance fibers and the snap closures. If you must use a machine, keep the heat setting on low.
