The Schneider Electric Harmony XAC Pendant Pushbutton Box (XACA2073) is designed for industrial hoist and crane operations requiring reliable two-speed control and immediate safety shutdown. It offers robust IP65 protection for harsh environments, an ergonomic pistol grip for single-handed operation, and clear markings for raise, lower, and emergency stop functions. A key benefit is its ability to enhance operational safety and efficiency in demanding applications. However, its specific functionality is geared towards two-speed motor control, which may not suit all lifting applications.

The pendant station has an IP65 rating, which means it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
While it can be wired for single-speed operation by only using one set of contacts, its primary design and benefit are for controlling two-speed hoist motors.
The pendant station supports a maximum current of 3A and a voltage rating of up to 600V.
The emergency stop button is typically a twist-to-release or pull-to-release type. Rotate or pull the button outward to reset it and restore power to the controlled equipment.
It features screw clamp terminals, which allow for secure and reliable connections for wires up to 2.5mm².
The device can operate effectively within an ambient temperature range of -25°C to +70°C.
Each push button (raise and lower) has two normally open (NO) contacts. One set of contacts is for the slow speed, and the other is for the fast speed, allowing for variable motor control.
Verify that the device is properly wired according to the schematic. Check for continuity across the relevant contacts using a multimeter. Ensure the control circuit has power.
Inspect the emergency stop button's NC contact for damage or obstruction. Ensure the button is correctly wired into the safety circuit. Test continuity of the NC contact when the button is in the released state.
Confirm that the wiring for both the slow and fast speed contacts is correct. Check the motor control relay or contactor for proper operation. Ensure the control voltage is within the specified range.
Do not use the device if the enclosure is cracked or damaged, as this compromises the IP65 rating. Replace the unit if significant physical damage is observed.
