FAQs

Can I use charcoal instead of wood pellets?

This model is specifically engineered for wood pellets to ensure optimal airflow and temperature consistency.

Is the oven safe to use on a wooden table?

No. Due to the high heat output, it should only be used on non-combustible surfaces like stone, brick, or metal.

How large of a pizza can I bake?

The oven is designed to accommodate pizzas up to 12 inches in diameter.

Do I need to season the stone?

No, but it is recommended to ensure the stone is dry and clean before each use to prevent sticking.

How long does it take to cool down?

Depending on the ambient temperature, it typically takes 45 to 60 minutes to cool down to a temperature safe for handling.

Troubleshooting

Oven is not reaching maximum temperature

Ensure the pellet tray is not overfilled, which can restrict airflow. Check that the chimney vent is fully open.

Pizza crust is burning before the toppings are cooked

Adjust your pizza placement further from the flame source or use a slightly thicker dough to provide more insulation.

Excessive smoke during operation

Use high-quality food-grade wood pellets and ensure they are completely dry, as damp pellets produce more soot and smoke.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the unit involves a quick assembly of the chimney and legs. Always place the oven on a stable, fire-resistant surface such as a stone patio or metal table. Avoid using this oven on wooden decks or plastic surfaces. After each use, allow the unit to cool completely before clearing out ash from the pellet tray. To maintain the stainless steel finish, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth once cooled; avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the metal. Always store the unit in a dry location to prevent corrosion.
