Product Information
Full details
The Prunus Pink Perfection Tree is an elegant ornamental tree that brings beauty to any garden with its abundant pink blossoms. This tree's fragrant spring flowers attract pollinators and create a delightful sensory experience, making it an ideal focal point. It showcases masses of double flowers between April and May, with a color palette ranging from pale candy floss to deeper pink-purple. The flowers emerge from rounded red buds and feature a lovely, delicate, frilly edge. New foliage appears in spring behind the blossoms, initially a warm bronze hue that deepens to green during summer. In autumn, the leaves transform into vibrant shades of yellow, orange, and red before falling in winter. This tree is fully hardy and tolerates most soil types, except for very wet or chalky conditions. It is also pollution-tolerant, making it suitable for urban gardens. For the best spring and autumn displays, plant in full sun. The Prunus 'Pink Perfection' grows with an upright, spreading, vase-like form, with slender branches that become pendulous at their tips, reaching a height of 5m and a spread of 3m over 20 years. It is perfect as an ornamental accent tree in smaller gardens and attracts birds, insects, and butterflies, adding life and sound to your outdoor space. It has also received an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Plant in well-drained soil, water regularly until established, and prune after flowering to maintain its elegant shape.
