Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the grinder is placed on a stable, level surface. Plug the power cord into a compatible 220-240V outlet. Fill the bean hopper with fresh coffee beans, ensuring not to exceed the 240g capacity. Select your desired grind setting using the control panel. If using a preset function, select the appropriate option for your brewing method.
Compatibility: This grinder is compatible with all types of coffee beans. Its 15 grind settings make it suitable for a wide range of brewing methods, including espresso machines, Moka pots, drip coffee makers, pour-over devices, French presses, and cold brew systems. It is designed to work seamlessly with Smeg coffee machines but functions independently with any coffee maker.
Care: Always unplug the grinder before cleaning. The removable bean hopper and grounds dispenser can be washed by hand with warm water and mild detergent; ensure they are completely dry before reassembling. The stainless-steel conical burrs can be removed for cleaning; use a brush to remove coffee grounds and dust. For a deeper clean, a specialized grinder cleaning brush or a dry cloth can be used. Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a damp cloth. Avoid immersing the main unit in water. Regular cleaning of the burrs is recommended to maintain optimal performance and prevent flavour contamination.
